We all make Resolutions, but how often do we keep them. Maybe for a month or two. Make a commitment to yourself this year to keep those resolutions. Reach out to those in need, maybe volunteer for the church when you have some spare time, seek out venues where your help is needed. It never has to be dedication of a lot of time. A little often goes a long way and is always appreciated.
NOTE: Eric Weed will be leading a study on Michelle Alexander’s The New Jim Crow: Mass Incarceration in the Age of Colorblindness. We will focus on how mass incarceration effects Wisconsin, and in particular, Milwaukee. We will use various types of media to help us further understand the current situation as a community of faith. The study will take place on Thursdays at 7 P.M. from April 14th to May 19th. There will be a signup sheet in the narthex where you can request a copy of the book for $13 each. You can also purchase your own copy on Amazon.com or at most local bookstores. If you have any questions, please email Eric at email@example.com.
